			03146500 LICKING RIVER NEAR NEWARK, OHIO

LOCATION.--Lat 40003'33", long 82020'23", in T.2 N., R.11 W., Licking County, Hydrologic Unit 05040006, on right bank 
at downstream side of Stadden Bridge, 1.0 mi downstream from Shawnee Run, 1.5 mi upstream from Equality Run, and 
3.5 mi east of Newark.
DRAINAGE AREA.--537 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--October 1939 to current year.
REVISED RECORDS.--WSP 973: 1940(M). WSP 1907: Drainage area.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 779.02 ft above sea level. Prior to May 9, 1940, nonrecording gage at 
same site and datum.
REMARKS.--Records fair except for periods of estimated record, which are poor. Occasional regulation by Buckeye Lake, 
capacity, 27,300 acre-ft, on South Fork 15.2 mi upstream. Water-quality data collected at this site. U.S. Army 
Corps of Engineers satellite telemeter at station.
